Senior Security Analyst

About the Role

Eventus Security is seeking a skilled Level 2 Cyber Security Analyst to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) team. This pivotal role involves the continuous monitoring and analysis of security threats, swift response to security incidents, and the proactive implementation of protective measures to safeguard organizational assets. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in maintaining a robust security posture for our clients and our own operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents to identify root causes and assess impact.
• Effectively respond to security incidents, leading containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
• Conduct comprehensive threat analysis to identify and understand potential security threats, including malware, phishing, and various cyber-attacks.
• Implement and manage essential security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management tools.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including incident response, threat intelligence, and security engineering.
• Stay abreast of the latest security trends, emerging threats, and advancements in security technologies.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of professional experience in cyber security or a related domain.
• Proficiency in security fundamentals, encompassing network security, operating system security, and cloud security principles.
• Strong analytical capabilities to dissect complex security issues and formulate innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP are highly desirable.
