Senior Security Analyst – Chennai

Radware seeks a highly skilled Senior Security Analyst to join our team in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for real-time detection, analysis, and mitigation of DDoS attacks across customer environments, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats. Your duties include providing real-time support and incident response for web application and security-related attacks, performing post-incident Root Cause Analysis, and delivering detailed attack reports with actionable findings and recommendations.

You will investigate and troubleshoot security issues during both attack and peacetime periods, acting as a security consultant to guide customers on best practices, configurations, and mitigation strategies. Collaborate with internal teams and customers to enhance overall security posture and protect against emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Real-time detection, analysis, and mitigation of DDoS attacks and security incidents
• Incident response and post-incident Root Cause Analysis
• Troubleshooting and resolving security-related issues
• Providing expert guidance on security best practices, configurations, and mitigation strategies
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve security posture
• Documenting findings, recommendations, and incident reports

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, IPv4, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing protocols like BGP)
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and hands-on experience with packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
• Certifications such as CCNA are preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills for technical and non-technical interactions
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Basic understanding of APIs (REST, GraphQL) and OWASP API Security Top 10
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, curl, browser developer tools)
• Familiarity with web application security (OWASP Top 10) and cloud security concepts
• Knowledge of DDoS mitigation, WAFs, and CDN technologies
