Freelance Senior SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer (CDS) – India

Role Overview: Optiwisers seeks an experienced SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer with strong CDS expertise to join our India-based team. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing ABAP solutions within an S/4HANA environment, emphasizing Core Data Services (CDS) and modern SAP development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance ABAP solutions in S/4HANA, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
• Design and implement CDS Views for reporting, analytics, and application development.
• Leverage ABAP on HANA concepts, including code pushdown and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with functional teams (MM, SD, FI, etc.) to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain OData services for SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Support system integrations and data migration activities.
• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and development standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of SAP ABAP experience, with at least 2+ years in S/4HANA.
• Strong hands-on experience with Core Data Services (CDS Views).
• Experience with ABAP on HANA (AMDP, performance optimization).
• Good knowledge of OData services and SAP Fiori integration.
• Experience in at least one functional area (MM, SD, FI, etc.).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).
• Exposure to SAP BTP or integration technologies.
• Knowledge of workflow, IDocs, or APIs.
• Prior experience in global S/4HANA implementations or rollouts.
