Senior Sales Engineer

Rubrik is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer in Chennai, India, to join their pre-sales team. This role is crucial for driving technical direction and business guidance to the regional sales team, with accountability for regional revenue goals. You will be responsible for evangelizing, positioning, and architecting Rubrik's hybrid cloud data management platform for a diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and direction to customers and internal staff for integrated technology solutions in pre-sales activities within the assigned market.
• Assist in the analysis, design, and development of fully integrated technology solutions.
• Demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise on Rubrik's products, distributed architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in the SAN product space.
• Act as a technical expert and consultant to develop and propose solutions meeting customer technology and business requirements.
• Deliver technical and sales presentations to customer technical staff and senior management.
• Serve as a trusted technology advisor to customers and an internal resource for technical issues or specific business applications within an assigned market segment.
• Build strong relationships with account teams, partners, and customers to support sales objectives, leveraging corporate resources effectively.
• Lead technical sales calls.
• Qualify sales opportunities based on customer technical requirements, competition, decision-making process, and funding.

About You:

• 5-10+ years of sales engineering experience (or customer-facing consulting) with large Enterprise clients, preferably in a software or data center environment.
• Highly driven, energetic, and possessing a strong hands-on, "can do" approach.
• Fundamental breadth of technical knowledge in cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, and data analytics.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and a "get it done" attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple calls/demos daily with prompt follow-up.
• High business acumen and experience interacting with C-level executives, translating technology solutions to solve business challenges.
• Adaptable, open-minded, and intelligent.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

• Knowledge of Partner and Client ecosystem is a plus.
