Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

The U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join its dynamic Digital Products team in Hyderabad, Telangana. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality of digital products, including AI and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, that support USP's mission to protect patient safety and improve global health. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in building robust data/ML pipelines, managing large-scale data infrastructure, and facilitating advanced analytics.

You will be instrumental in executing end-to-end QA activities, including functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across digital, AI, and BI products. Key responsibilities involve validating the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of structured and unstructured data used in analytics, dashboards, and AI models. You will test AI chatbot functionalities, ensuring conversational flows, intent recognition, and business logic are sound, while also reviewing responses for errors, bias, and compliance. Furthermore, you will validate pharmaceutical analytical tests, rules, methods, and standards within digital systems, and rigorously test Tableau/BI dashboards. Executing SQL-based data validation across backend databases will be crucial to ensure data consistency. You will also be responsible for meticulous documentation of test cases, results, and defects, managing their lifecycle, and maintaining audit-ready QA documentation aligned with GxP expectations. Collaboration with Product Managers, Developers, Data Scientists, and UX teams is essential for clear requirements and comprehensive test coverage. This role contributes to release readiness and quality reporting, while also driving continuous improvement in QA processes and practices for AI-enabled products.

USP is looking for a candidate with a proven understanding of its mission and a commitment to excellence through inclusive practices. Demonstrated ability to build stakeholder credibility is key. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics) or equivalent experience. You should have 3+ years of QA/testing experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or analytical domains, with experience in scientific chemistry nomenclature or life sciences being highly desirable. Experience with pharmaceutical datasets, manual testing, data validation, SQL querying, and BI/dashboard testing is required. Familiarity with GxP regulations and audit-ready documentation is important. Experience validating CI/CD test runs is also a plus. Desired preferences include experience testing AI-enabled systems, exposure to AWS, PostgreSQL, API testing tools, defect tracking systems, and BI tools like Tableau or Power BI, along with a willingness to learn AI and automation testing.
