Senior QA Engineer

Join Lognormal Analytics as a Senior QA Engineer in Hyderabad and play a pivotal role in guaranteeing product quality. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies, building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, and conducting manual and exploratory testing. This role emphasizes continuous improvement of QA methodologies and close collaboration with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify defects early and mitigate quality risks throughout the software development lifecycle.

As a senior member, you will provide technical leadership, mentor junior QA engineers, and significantly contribute to defining the overall test strategy for delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement robust test plans, cases, and scripts encompassing functionality, performance, security, and scalability.
• Test Automation: Architect, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend services.
• Testing Activities: Execute automated, manual, exploratory, functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Specialized Testing: Conduct API testing, performance testing for scalability, and security testing in line with industry best practices.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools, working collaboratively with developers for timely resolution.
• Process Improvement: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid feedback loops and drive continuous improvements in QA processes.
• Mentorship (Senior Level): Guide and mentor junior QA engineers, fostering a strong culture of ownership and technical excellence.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
• Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality software within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proven experience in developing comprehensive test strategies and architecting sophisticated automation frameworks.

Technical Skills:

• Programming/Scripting: Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or JavaScript.
• Test Automation: Expertise with modern frameworks like Playwright and Cucumber.js; familiarity with Selenium/WebDriver is advantageous.
• API & Performance Testing: Skilled in using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, and k6.
• Management Tools: Proficient with Jira and TestRail.
• CI/CD & Cloud: Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and experience with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, GCP).
• Security Testing: Familiarity with security testing tools like OWASP ZAP is a plus.
• Core Concepts: Strong grasp of testing principles, methodologies, and industry best practices.
