Your Impact
As a Product Leader within McKinsey's Periscope team in Gurgaon or Bangalore, India, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing product plans for the Growth, Marketing & Sales Practice. You will drive product strategies that align with business objectives, user needs, and market trends, enhancing existing offerings and developing innovative solutions based on customer and competitor research. Your responsibilities will include translating business needs into functional requirements, collaborating closely with technology, support, and client service teams for product deployments, and defining/tracking KPIs to identify growth opportunities.
You will lead cross-functional teams, including product owners and engineering delivery teams, to design and deliver impactful solutions. Building key internal relationships and partnering with marketing, sales, and partner organizations to develop effective go-to-market strategies will be crucial. Accountability for product growth and success, alongside fostering innovation, will be central to your role.
Periscope itself is a vital part of McKinsey's Growth, Marketing & Sales Practice, combining intellectual property, prescriptive analytics, and cloud-based tools to foster revenue growth and commercial transformation for businesses globally. The practice advises clients on diverse marketing and sales topics, including sales and channel management, branding, customer insights, marketing ROI, digital marketing, CLM, and pricing. Periscope leverages world-leading IP and technology to provide Big Data transparency, actionable insights, and new working methods that drive sustained performance improvements, often resulting in a 2-7% increase in return on sales (ROS). Its global presence spans 27 locations across 16 countries, with a team of over 800 professionals and a network of 300+ experts, offering solutions in Marketing, Customer Experience, Category, B2C Pricing, B2B Pricing, and Sales.
Your Qualifications and Skills
- A Master's degree in business administration, computer science, or a STEM-related field is typically preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of working or internship experience in a startup's product function, technology, and/or consulting, with a focus on product management.
- Proven experience in delivering products throughout their lifecycle and familiarity with software lifecycle tools like JIRA and Git.
- Strong product intuition, user empathy, analytical skills, a structured and data-driven approach, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Significant experience in digital product development for B2C or B2B products.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment with the ability to meet deadlines under tight constraints.
- Demonstrated experience in designing creative, high-quality consumer products and enabling business capabilities through technology.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, exhibiting thought leadership, and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Solid knowledge of Lean and Agile software development processes.
