Senior Principal Engineer - Applications Development (Mean Stack)

Marsh Corporate is seeking a talented Senior Principal Engineer to join Mercer Tech, a Marsh business, based in Gurgaon/Noida. This is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.

As a Senior Principal Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable software applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate software requirements into effective technical solutions and contribute to comprehensive test strategies, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This is a hands-on role within a Scaled Agile development environment, demanding a self-starter, delivery-focused individual with a broad technology skill set.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise and leadership in software development and testing.
• Design and develop scalable, maintainable applications adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to understand requirements and create robust technical solutions.
• Lead the implementation of unit, integration, and system testing strategies.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts.
• Conduct thorough testing, analyze results, and report findings and improvement areas.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Identify and resolve software defects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development and testing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in applications development using MEAN Stack.
• Proficiency as a full-stack developer with Angular, .NET Core, NestJS, MongoDB, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with the aforementioned technologies.
• Experience with Git and continuous integration.
• Strong team player with a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
• Proactive in proposing new ideas and solutions.
• Motivated to learn and apply new technologies.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity guidelines.
• Well-versed in DevOps practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS experience.
• Microservices experience.
• Familiarity with Snyk and GitGuardian.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
