Genpact is seeking a Senior Principal Consultant – Sr. Data Scientist to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad, Telangana. In this role, you will leverage advanced machine learning, deep learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and statistical modeling to address complex business challenges and deliver measurable value. You will be responsible for building, operationalizing, and ensuring the interpretability and robustness of predictive and generative AI models. A key focus will be applying AI-driven workforce analytics, including predictive modeling for attrition, workforce planning, and associate 360 initiatives, in collaboration with HR and business stakeholders to enhance employee experience and decision-making. Your expertise will drive innovation, efficiency, and stronger business outcomes across a multinational enterprise through demand forecasting, prediction, and classification.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize machine learning, deep learning, and NLP models (regression, classification, clustering) for business-critical problems.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate models into Generative AI (GenAI) applications using RAG pipelines, LangChain, LangGraph, and vector databases.
• Apply OpenAI and other Large Language Model (LLM) frameworks to drive automation, contextual intelligence, and improve decision-making.
• Partner with HR and business stakeholders to develop predictive modeling, attrition analysis, workforce planning, and associate 360 solutions that enhance employee experience.
• Ensure deployed models meet enterprise standards for scalability, robustness, latency, and interpretability in production environments.
• Conduct statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and integrate AI-driven insights into dashboards and visualization tools for decision support.
• Stay current with advancements in AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI, experimenting with new methods to drive business value.
• Conduct internal sessions to share project learnings, new AI/ML techniques, and best practices with peers and cross-functional teams.
• Translate complex statistical and AI/ML concepts into clear, actionable insights for business and non-technical stakeholders.
• Create comprehensive documentation, guidelines, and walkthroughs to support model adoption, reproducibility, and smooth handovers.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into AI/ML solutions and ensure seamless integration into workflows.
• Operate as a hands-on specialist, owning end-to-end project execution from data preparation and modeling to deployment and monitoring with a high degree of independence.
• Engage regularly with business and HR stakeholders to present findings, validate models, and incorporate feedback to ensure solutions deliver measurable business impact.

Qualifications We Seek in You!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Additional certifications in AI/ML, Databricks, Dataiku are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

• Experience in data science, machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and GenAI, preferably within multinational or large-scale business environments.
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end AI/ML initiatives from problem framing to scalable deployment in global or multinational organizations.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and ML/DL frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and LangChain.
• Demonstrated experience with statistical modeling, predictive analytics, NLP techniques, and deploying scalable AI/ML/GenAI solutions in production.
• Hands-on expertise with supervised and unsupervised learning, predictive modeling, time-series forecasting, and optimization techniques.
