Senior Platform Software Engineer

About This Role

The Senior Platform Software Engineer owns moderately complex components within platform services or SDKs, leading team-level improvements to integration frameworks and developer tooling. Responsibilities include performing deep debugging across distributed services, driving fixes that protect downstream consumers, analyzing usage/performance metrics, and implementing resilience optimizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Software Development: Own bounded platform components (service modules, SDK areas) evolving contracts for multi-tenant use. Perform deep debugging across limited-service graphs to drive compatibility-safe remediation plans.
• Software Design & Optimization: Independently design software solutions aligned with business goals, adhere to SDLC best practices, lead code reviews, and implement functional/non-functional testing processes including observability and error logging.
• API Strategy: Troubleshoot API functionality issues, resolve moderately complex integration problems, and manage API versioning strategies for lifecycle management.
• Architecture & Scalability: Design systems aligned with pre-defined architecture decisions, collaborate on architectural reviews, and implement performance optimization/scalability strategies.
• Customer Support & Mentoring: Collaborate cross-functionally to address customer issues, provide technical guidance independently, coach team members, and advocate for product enhancements based on feedback.
• Security & Compliance: Establish secure coding practices, ensure code quality adherence, stay current with industry best practices, and prevent security vulnerabilities.
• DevOps & Maintenance: Perform periodic maintenance/patching operations (e.g., critical vulnerability fixes), drive automation improvements, and ensure system health/reliability.
