About the Role: Senior Platform Engineer

Zorba Consulting India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and ongoing management of our cutting-edge, cloud-native infrastructure. This role blends traditional DevOps engineering with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, focusing on creating systems that are exceptionally available, scalable, observable, and secure. Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Implementation: Architect and deploy scalable infrastructure solutions on leading cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Kubernetes Mastery: Proficiently manage, optimize, and secure large-scale Kubernetes clusters (including EKS, GKE, or AKS). Experience with service meshes like Istio/Linkerd and GitOps practices with ArgoCD/Flux is essential.
• SRE Principles: Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies to define and achieve Service Level Objectives (SLOs). Implement robust monitoring, alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog), and logging solutions (e.g., ELK, Loki, Splunk).
• Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using languages like Python, Go, or Bash to streamline deployment, scaling, and operational workflows.
• Security & Compliance: Implement stringent security best practices, including cluster hardening, secrets management with tools like Vault, and adherence to compliance standards.

Required Skills:

• Expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS is preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, load balancing, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
