Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform Engineer to lead the design, build, and maintenance of our next-generation, cloud-native infrastructure in Chennai.
This role requires a hybrid of traditional DevOps and SRE expertise, ensuring our systems are highly available, scalable, observable, and secure. A passion for automation and deep expertise in Kubernetes and public cloud infrastructure are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable infrastructure solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
- Manage, optimize, and secure large-scale Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, or AKS), including service mesh (Istio/Linkerd) and GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux) practices.
- Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to define and meet Service Level Objectives (SLOs), implementing robust monitoring, alerting (Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog), and logging (ELK/Loki/Splunk).
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Go, Bash) to streamline deployment, scaling, and operational tasks.
- Implement security best practices, including hardening clusters, managing secrets (Vault), and ensuring compliance standards are met.
Required Skills
- Expertise with one major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- Strong understanding of networking, load balancing, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
