Senior Platform Engineer - Bengaluru

Zorba Consulting India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. This pivotal role involves leading the design, construction, and ongoing maintenance of our next-generation, cloud-native infrastructure. You will operate as a hybrid DevOps engineer and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), with a primary focus on ensuring our systems are highly available, scalable, observable, and secure. A deep expertise in Kubernetes, public cloud infrastructure, and a strong passion for automation are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Implementation: Architect and implement scalable infrastructure solutions on leading public cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure, leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Kubernetes Mastery: Manage, optimize, and secure large-scale Kubernetes clusters, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). This includes hands-on experience with service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd, and GitOps practices using tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• SRE Principles: Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to define and achieve Service Level Objectives (SLOs). Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack, Loki, or Splunk.
• Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using languages such as Python, Go, or Bash to streamline deployment, scaling, and routine operational tasks, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
• Security & Compliance: Implement comprehensive security best practices, including hardening Kubernetes clusters, managing secrets effectively with tools like HashiCorp Vault, and ensuring adherence to industry compliance standards.

Required Skills:

• Expertise with at least one major public cloud provider, with a preference for Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies.
• Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, load balancing strategies, and microservices architecture.
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
