Senior Platform Engineer

Job Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform Engineer to lead the design, build, and maintenance of our next-generation, cloud-native infrastructure in Ahmedabad. You will act as a hybrid of a traditional DevOps engineer and an SRE, ensuring our systems are highly available, scalable, observable, and secure. This role demands deep expertise in Kubernetes, public cloud infrastructure, and a strong commitment to automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Implementation: Architect and implement scalable infrastructure solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Kubernetes Mastery: Manage, optimize, and secure large-scale Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, or AKS), incorporating service mesh (Istio/Linkerd) and GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux) practices.
• SRE Principles: Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to define and meet Service Level Objectives (SLOs), implementing robust monitoring, alerting (Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog), and logging (ELK/Loki/Splunk).
• Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Go, Bash) to streamline deployment, scaling, and operational tasks for our cloud infrastructure in Ahmedabad.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including hardening clusters, managing secrets (Vault), and ensuring compliance standards are met for our cloud-native platform.

Required Skills

• Expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong understanding of networking, load balancing, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
