Senior PHP Laravel Developer - Chennai, Tamil Nadu

ATOM Systems Private Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Laravel Developer to join our dynamic team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This role is crucial for leading the design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong cloud and architecture experience, a passion for driving best practices, and the ability to mentor junior developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development using Laravel & PHP.
• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance applications, including REST APIs and microservices.
• Deploy and manage applications on leading cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and adhere to DevOps best practices.
• Optimize database performance and overall system architecture.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor team members.
• Collaborate effectively with product managers, frontend teams, and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot production issues and enhance system reliability.

Required Technical Skills

Backend Development

• 6+ years of experience in PHP & Laravel.
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Deep understanding of MVC architecture & OOP concepts.
• Proficiency with queues, caching, and job scheduling mechanisms (e.g., Redis, RabbitMQ).

Database

• Expertise in MySQL / PostgreSQL optimization.
• Strong skills in database design, indexing, and query tuning.
• Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.

Cloud & DevOps

• Hands-on experience with core AWS/Azure/GCP services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Load Balancer).
• Experience with Docker containerization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Understanding of infrastructure concepts like Auto Scaling, CDN, and Monitoring.

Architecture

• Proven experience in designing scalable architectures.
• Knowledge of microservices and API Gateway patterns.
• Commitment to security best practices and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Frontend development knowledge (Vue.js / React.js).
• Exposure to Kubernetes.
• Experience with SaaS or high-traffic applications.
• AWS/Azure certification.
• Experience leading small teams.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu (In-person). Remote and Hybrid options may be considered.

Salary: ₹70,936.10 - ₹125,219.40 per month.
