Full Job Description

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This role serves as a strategic HR partner to business leaders, aligning people initiatives with business priorities. The HRBP will own the end-to-end employee lifecycle, lead performance management, and partner on workforce planning, talent reviews, and succession planning. Key responsibilities include managing employee relations, monitoring people metrics, ensuring HR policy compliance, and designing employee engagement initiatives. Collaboration with Talent Acquisition and L&D teams is crucial for identifying hiring needs and executing capability-building programs. The role requires providing day-to-day HR consultation and support to leaders and employees.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to business leaders, aligning people initiatives with business priorities and operating plans.
  • Own and support the end-to-end employee lifecycle to ensure a positive and consistent employee experience.
  • Lead performance management practices, including goal setting, check-ins, annual reviews, and development planning.
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and internal mobility to build organizational capability.
  • Manage employee relations matters with fairness, confidentiality, and timely resolution, promoting a respectful and compliant work environment.
  • Monitor key people metrics (e.g., attrition, engagement, performance, attendance) and provide insights and recommendations to enable data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and processes and maintain compliance with applicable labor laws and organizational standards.
  • Design and deliver employee engagement and employee experience initiatives (listening sessions, pulse checks, recognition, culture actions) in partnership with leaders.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to identify hiring needs, support onboarding effectiveness, and execute capability-building programs.
  • Support HR projects and change management initiatives, ensuring clear communications, leader enablement, and adoption.
  • Provide day-to-day HR consultation and support to leaders and employees, proactively resolving issues and improving the overall employee experience.

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner role.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes and best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to work night shifts, as required.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and MS Office tools.
