Senior Node.js Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Node.js Software Engineer to join Tether's dynamic, fully remote team. In this role, you will develop and maintain our P2P stack, expand our ecosystem of over 1500 public npm modules, and contribute to robust, modular codebases that power global digital finance infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop production-scale Node.js applications with a focus on modularity and maintainability.
• Create and manage reusable npm modules for the expanding ecosystem.
• Leverage strong testing & debugging skills to ensure code reliability.
• Apply deep interest or experience in P2P technologies and distributed systems architecture.
• Collaborate effectively within a remote, globally distributed team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing native Node.js extensions using C/C++ bindings to lower-level code.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize network protocols for improved latency and throughput.
• Familiarity with advanced networking concepts relevant to high-scale systems.
• Past contributions to Open Source projects, particularly in P2P or decentralized technology domains.
