About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Node.js Developer with proven experience in fintech projects to join our dynamic team. Your primary focus will be on developing robust, scalable backend services and APIs for our Loan Management Systems (LMS), powering financial applications, complex payment workflows, and associated services. You will be an integral part of a collaborative environment, working closely with product managers, frontend engineers, data specialists, and security and compliance experts to deliver secure, reliable, and compliant software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Node.js backend services and RESTful/gRPC APIs.
• Lead the development of critical modules including payment processing, transaction workflows, reconciliation, settlement, risk management, and reporting.
• Architect and implement secure integrations with essential third-party services such as payment gateways, banking APIs, credit bureaus, fraud detection systems, and KYC/AML platforms.
• Influence and drive technical architecture decisions, system design strategies, and backend best practices across the engineering team.
• Ensure exceptional system availability, performance optimization, and scalability through strategic database design, effective caching mechanisms, and asynchronous processing techniques.
• Implement and enforce stringent security standards, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion secure coding practices, with an awareness of PCI DSS, data encryption, and tokenization.
• Collaborate effectively with frontend development teams and product managers to define clear API contracts, data models, and service architectures.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers through thorough code reviews, providing technical leadership and promoting the adoption of best practices.
• Lead the implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, linting standards, and deployment processes.
• Develop and implement comprehensive observability and monitoring systems, including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Actively participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and ongoing system performance tuning to ensure operational excellence.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, ensuring high test coverage with unit, integration, and API tests.
• Design and maintain modern microservices architectures and event-driven systems tailored for demanding financial applications.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on Node.js development.
• Strong command of the Node.js runtime, asynchronous programming paradigms, event-driven architecture principles, and microservices-based systems.
• Extensive experience developing and securing RESTful APIs, including expertise in API gateway architectures.
• Deep expertise in database technologies, including relational databases like PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis. Must possess strong skills in data modeling and query optimization, particularly for financial applications.
• A solid understanding of the payment ecosystem, settlement flows, and key compliance considerations within the fintech industry.
• Proven experience implementing robust authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth2, JWT, RBAC, and secure token-based systems.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their associated services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, API Gateway, message queues).
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Significant experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Proficiency in Git-based collaboration workflows and established code review processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
