Full Job Description
Join Experian's Global Network Services team as a Senior Network Security Engineer in Hyderabad, India. This critical role supports and enhances our global network security infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to strict regulatory, governmental, and industry standards.
You will collaborate with Network Security Operations, Engineering, Global ENOC, and Global Build teams to maintain a secure and resilient global network. This position requires expert-level engineering and operational support to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. You will conduct regular assessments of the network environment to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and areas for enhancement, proposing innovative solutions.
Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies is essential to strengthening our security posture. You will mentor and train team members, fostering a collaborative environment and contributing to a knowledge-sharing culture. Deliver high-quality incident management, problem resolution, and change implementation using ITIL best practices, and ensure compliance with all security control requirements, supporting audit readiness.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in managing, designing, and provisioning network security technologies within a large, globally distributed environment.
- Strong technical expertise with various network security technologies and platforms, including SASE solutions (Zscaler, Netskope, Prisma Access), Imperva WAF (On-Prem and Cloud), Trellix IPS, SkyHigh proxy (On-Prem and Cloud), Fortinet & Checkpoint firewalls, Cisco firewalls, DDoS mitigation (Incapsula, Cloudflare), and Cisco ISE.
- Solid understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as NNMi, ThousandEyes, Algosec, Grafana, Dynatrace, and ExtraHop.
- Proficient knowledge of network technologies including Routing, Switching, Cisco ACI, Load balancers, and SD-WAN.
- Experience with cloud environments, specifically AWS.
- Strong documentation and process development skills, with a focus on automation for operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks for incident, problem, and change management.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior staff.
- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and make sound decisions in high-stakes situations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, Palo Alto, Zscaler Certified Professional.
- Experience working in ITIL-based environments.
- Familiarity with cloud security and hybrid network environments.
