Senior Network Engineer

About the Role

Join Twilio's Identity and Network Trust team as a Senior Network Engineer based in India. In this remote-first role with occasional travel, you will build, operate, and maintain our global corporate network infrastructure, including VPNs, ZTNA, and cloud connectivity.

Your Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and support the global Twilio IT network infrastructure across campus and data centers.
• Monitor network performance metrics (availability, latency, throughput) to proactively respond to incidents.
• Troubleshoot escalated connectivity issues using root cause analysis techniques.
• Collaborate with security teams on developing a secured, scalable global network architecture.
• Prioritize projects within the Scale Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Analyze and optimize current LAN/WAN structures for efficiency and sustainability.
• Create documentation for network design standards and processes.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years building campus/data center infrastructure with AWS cloud services.
• 5+ years with Cisco LAN/WAN/Wifi and Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• 3+ years of deep expertise in AWS networking.
• Advanced knowledge of IEEE 802 standards, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing/switching protocols.
• Hands-on network monitoring skills (Zabbix/Nagios/Prometheus preferred).
• Network security implementation for compliance.
• Troubleshooting across all OSI model layers on Windows/Mac/Linux clients.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco CCNA/CCNP Certification.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner/Solutions Architect certification.
• Zscaler Zero Trust Systems experience.
• API automation scripting (Python/Bash).
• Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• ITIL framework knowledge and project management skills.
