Senior Network Engineer - Cloud Security and Operations in Hyderabad

Experian is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. This hands-on technical role is crucial for operating and enhancing our cloud security controls and monitoring processes. You will collaborate closely with security architecture teams to bolster our security posture and advance our automation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance the security of our e-commerce products and ensure compliance with internal and external security and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and operate a range of cloud security tools, including WAF, IDS/IPS, CSPM, network observability, and cloud security/compliance monitoring frameworks.
• Analyze application and infrastructure logs to detect suspicious activities and behavioral anomalies.
• Manage and operate network traffic flow, NACLs, transit gateways, peers, direct connects, and security groups.
• Assess infrastructure and application vulnerabilities and implement necessary remediation actions.
• Manage AWS IAM permissions according to defined roles and responsibilities.
• Ensure robust security for our e-commerce platform, including data encryption, security group management, and environment scanning.
• Partner with the Experian Global Security office to uphold policies and standards.

Our cloud-computing 'Platform as a Service' product operates on a 'developer self-service model,' automating:

• AWS resource provisioning and management using immutable compute resources.
• Management of Linux-based operating systems and associated vulnerability management processes.
• Micro-service support, including service registry, service-to-service authentication, authorization, and auditing.
• Data pipelines from transaction support (Dynamo) to BI (RedShift).

This role requires proficiency in Python or equivalent scripting/infra-coding tools, as the platform is built using 'infrastructure as code.' Experience with Agile Product Oriented Development is also important, as the platform is managed as a true software product.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with information security, DevOps, and engineering teams to address platform security needs and issues.
• Report to the Manager.
• Partner with key third-party security providers to ensure security controls align with policies and mitigate risks.
• Lead projects as a technical lead, ensuring timely and in-scope completion.
• Perform daily operational security controls and monitoring.
• Author Agile stories, estimate story points, and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Conduct advanced security technical troubleshooting for cloud and e-commerce environments.
• Participate in incident response exercises and document security and incident response procedures.
• Lead projects from inception to completion, serving as the primary technical point of contact.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in Information Security, Ops, or DevOps, with a focus on automated security solutions.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GCIA, or GCIH are highly desirable.
• Fluency in Python or other programming/scripting languages.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience with network visibility and cloud observability tools is a plus.
• Experience with Edge Networking / CDN technologies and infrastructure.
• Production experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure; AWS preferred).
• Experience with a variety of open-source technologies and tools to facilitate cross-team collaboration.
• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience leading small teams or projects.
• Knowledge of InfoSec/DevOps toolchains on the AWS Linux platform.
• Experience deploying automation solutions in public cloud environments like AWS.
• Familiarity with PCI/HIPAA and other security-related standards and requirements.
• Experience supporting security audits.
• Operational experience including monitoring, alerting, and analyzing system metrics for security concerns.
