Senior Network Engineer - Low Latency Trading Environment

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to optimize and maintain a critical low-latency trading network spanning data centers and office environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring maximum network performance, reliability, and security within a live trading setup. You will collaborate closely with systems and trading teams to deploy resilient, high-performance network solutions in a demanding production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance to ensure low latency.
• Configure and install network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS.
• Provide hands-on support for production issues across co-location, trading, office, and data center environments.
• Drive network automation through pushing and updating configurations across infrastructure devices.
• Administer and support firewall environments.
• Upgrade network equipment to stable firmware releases.
• Provide technical support for Linux servers within a live trading environment.
• Work with multicast routing and associated protocols such as PIM and IGMP.
• Support Linux-based server monitoring, hardware changes, software installations, and upgrades.

What We're Looking For

• Engineering degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (preferred).
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in network engineering.
• CCNP certification is required.
• Strong expertise in routing and switching technologies (VLANs, Inter VLAN routing, VTP, STP, EtherChannel, Layer 3, BGP, static and dynamic routing protocols).
• Hands-on experience with firewalls and network security (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
• Expertise with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL, Site-to-Site).
• Proficiency in Linux and experience with Shell/Python scripting.
• Exposure to AWS is considered a plus.
• Experience with monitoring tools, ideally within the financial services sector.
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple high-priority projects.
• A quick learner with strong problem-solving skills.
