Senior Network Automation Engineer

Adyen is seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer to join our Platform Engineering Solution team in Bengaluru. This role is crucial for enabling Adyen engineers to autonomously build and support secure, scalable, and reliable applications at high speed and quality through a common technology ecosystem.

As a Senior Network Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, creating, and maintaining automations and tooling to secure, scale, and deploy Adyen's global network. The ideal candidate possesses broad experience in developing applications and APIs, extensive Linux proficiency, and the ability to rapidly diagnose problems in a 24/7 operational environment. You will develop Python projects to abstract network implementation complexities for internal customers, ensuring data validity and consistency. This includes strategic design for scalability, hands-on implementation and integration, performance monitoring, security, and troubleshooting.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop applications and APIs to interface with network equipment.
• Integrate our network stack with open-source tooling to provide self-service options for internal customers.
• Automate the deployment of network devices and servers.
• Automate the configuration and inventory management of network hardware and connections.
• Create and maintain tools for monitoring network performance and analyzing network irregularities to ensure system availability and reliability.
• Develop new tools to manage our remote network infrastructure.

Who You Are:

• Proficient in scripting and programming in Python with at least 2 years of coding experience.
• Strong background in networking with at least 5 years of network engineering experience.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or GNMI.
• Experience with the Django framework is a plus.
• Knowledge of core network routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, or ISIS. Knowledge of core system protocols like DNS and DHCP is a plus.
• Good understanding and experience with Linux-based systems and their networking stack.
• A team player, open to feedback, able to work in a 24/7 environment, make quick informed decisions, and handle pressure.
• Effective communication skills in English.
