Senior Mobile Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Mobile Engineer (Android & Flutter) on LIXIL's international IMEA team, you will lead the creation of fast, reliable mobile applications connecting with our smart IoT ecosystems. We seek a flexible expert skilled in both native Android development and cross-platform Flutter solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable applications for Android and hybrid environments using modern patterns like MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.
• Bridge native Android modules with Flutter seamlessly via Method Channels to enhance functionality.
• Lead technical execution within an Agile ecosystem, defining features from concept to production deployment.
• Manage the complete application lifecycle: Firebase integration, CI/CD pipelines, and Google Play Console distribution.
• Migrate legacy Java codebases to Kotlin and transition XML layouts to Jetpack Compose for modern architectures.
• Troubleshoot bottlenecks, optimize performance/UI fidelity, and document technical decisions clearly.

Key Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in mobile engineering with a product-first mindset.
• Native Android Mastery: Deep expertise in Kotlin (Coroutines, Flow), Jetpack Compose, and Java for legacy migration. Expert knowledge of Android Jetpack components.
• Hybrid Development: Advanced Flutter & Dart proficiency with experience building high-performance hybrid apps and managing Method Channels.
• Architecture: Practical application of MVVM/MVI/Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger), and Repository patterns.
• Tooling Expertise: Power user of Android Studio (Profiling, Layout Inspector) and VS Code for Flutter development.
• Version Control & Workflow: Advanced Git skills (Gitflow, rebasing) and seamless Jira/Confluence workflows.
• Lifecycle Management: Strong experience with Firebase, Google Play Console, and third-party API integration.
• Communication: High-level English proficiency to articulate complex technical decisions to stakeholders globally.
