Full Job Description
Optomi is actively seeking a talented Senior iOS Product Designer to join a premier client in the telecommunications technology sector. This exciting opportunity involves the early-stage design exploration and high-fidelity visual design of a brand-new, native iOS application. The role emphasizes the effective utilization of native iOS patterns and components to create a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and actively participate in design workshops to brainstorm concepts, user flows, and interaction models for a new native iOS application.
- Develop early-stage mockups, wireframes, and high-fidelity visual designs using Figma, with a clear intention to align with native iOS implementation.
- Design exclusively for the native iOS platform, leveraging platform-specific components, patterns, and behaviors rather than web-based equivalents.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate innovative ideas into intuitive native experiences, including sophisticated live alerts and real-time interactions.
- Influence and help define emerging design patterns for the application, as a dedicated design system is currently under development.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience designing native iOS applications.
- In-depth understanding of iOS components, behaviors, and platform constraints; proven experience designing specifically for iOS, distinct from responsive web design.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and creating high-fidelity visual designs.
- Exceptional visual design skills with a talent for generating creative, unique ideas that enhance the overall product aesthetic.
- Experience leading or contributing to design workshops and creating initial mockups during early product development phases.
- Experience designing live or real-time alerting functionalities within mobile applications.
- A strong portfolio showcasing native iOS design work is mandatory; the portfolio must clearly illustrate mobile-first, native iOS experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting field-based or technician-facing applications.
- Exposure to or experience with content strategy, particularly within mobile product contexts.
- A solid grasp of Information Architecture principles.
- Familiarity with user research methodologies, usability testing, and the application of insights to design improvements.
