Senior DC Network Engineer at Vodafone in Pune, India

Vodafone is seeking a Senior Manager, Senior DC Network Engineer to join their team in Pune, Maharashtra, India. This role involves maintaining operational KPI/SLA, proactively managing incidents, and leading LCME activities including migrations and assessments. The successful candidate will deploy network solutions, understanding service/application layers across the network for capacity, capability, and utilization. Key responsibilities include planning and leading network lifecycle activities, such as firewall, load balancer, and routing migrations, as well as managing Cloud Network infrastructure across major CSPs like AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI. This position requires strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with operations, design, infrastructure, and customer teams. A degree in Telecommunication, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering is required, along with extensive knowledge of Data Centre network infrastructure and equipment (Cisco routers/switches, F5 Load Balancers, Juniper Firewalls, SD-WAN, ACI). Proficiency in TCP/IP, routing, and switching protocols, along with cloud and NFV technologies (ACI, OpenStack, NSX), and hands-on experience with Cloud Networking in Azure/AWS are essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adaptability, and self-dependency are crucial. Candidates should have 8-10+ years of experience in large data centres resolving network issues. Desired qualifications include Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or F5 vendor certifications. Knowledge of scripting, network automation, Agile, and DevOps methodologies is a plus.
