Senior Manager, Partner Solution Engineering - Snowflake (Ontario, Canada)

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Partner Solution Engineering to lead a team of talented technical Partner Solution Engineers. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring the successful implementation of Snowflake solutions for our strategic partners, driving technical adoption, securing technical wins, and proactively addressing architectural challenges. Responsibilities:
- Lead the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing management of a high-performing, diverse team of Partner Solution Engineers, fostering their professional development and ensuring exceptional performance.
- Provide expert coaching and mentorship to Partner Solution Engineers, enabling Data Cloud Partners (DCP) to achieve proficiency in Snowflake.
- Develop and deliver technical enablement programs, sharing best practices and conducting solution design workshops to empower Partners in creating effective, scalable solutions on Snowflake.
- Collaborate with Partner Leads to develop and execute technical strategies that enable them to successfully market and sell their offerings on the Snowflake platform.
- Deeply understand partner revenue models, industry priorities, and inherent complexities to identify and influence opportunities where Snowflake products can deliver maximum impact for their product portfolios.
- Exhibit forward-thinking strategic leadership, driving thought leadership within the Partner Solution Engineering (PSE) organization.
- Scale the PSE organization through a multiplier effect, fostering strong collaboration with Product Managers to influence the roadmap and ensure alignment with key strategic partners.
- Directly contribute to the growth of Technical Account Value (TACV) and consumption by ensuring partner-led architectures are optimized for long-term scalability and significant business value.
- Partner closely with Alliances and Sales Leadership to strategically align technical resources with regional revenue targets and account planning initiatives.
- Provide crucial guidance to revenue leaders on sales strategy, identifying and communicating product obstacles or gaps, and effectively representing the team’s needs to executive staff.
- Innovate and implement cutting-edge strategies to elevate the team's skills in navigating complex partner ecosystems.
- Act as a player/coach, delivering compelling presentations and conducting in-depth architectural discussions at Snowflake events, executive roundtables, and community sessions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of industry experience in a pre-sales or technical consulting capacity, with at least 4 years of proven people management experience (including hiring, training, and retaining top diverse talent).
- Demonstrated track record of driving TACV and Consumption targets within a partner-led or 'sell-with' sales ecosystem.
- Strategic experience in growing the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) ecosystem, driving co-sell motions and joint Go-To-Market (GTM) offerings.
- Expertise in 'Partner Coaching,' with a strong ability to educate PSEs on influencing ISV leadership to invest in Snowflake-specific technical resources.
- Deep technical expertise in Data Warehousing, GenAI/Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, and/or SaaS Solutions.
- Proficiency in understanding and working with the technical aspects of SQL-based database ecosystems.
- Exceptional presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive audiences through impromptu whiteboard sessions, formal presentations, and live demonstrations.
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Willingness to travel within North America to meet with partners or attend internal leadership meetings.
