Senior Machine Learning Engineer

NIQ is seeking a seasoned Senior Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to join our innovative team in Chennai or Pune. This role is critical for developing and implementing advanced AI and Generative AI models and algorithms to address complex business challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, construct, and deploy scalable AI/GenAI solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy AI/GenAI models and algorithms utilizing Python, with expertise in PyTorch/Tensorflow, Pandas, and scikit-learn.
• Apply machine learning fundamentals, including deep learning, optimization, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and LLMs, to solve practical business problems.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to gather requirements, analyze data, and build end-to-end ML pipelines.
• Conduct experiments and rigorously evaluate models to ensure the robustness, scalability, and accuracy of AI/GenAI solutions.
• Optimize and fine-tune AI/GenAI models for peak performance and efficiency.
• Partner with cloud computing teams for the deployment of AI/GenAI models on cloud platforms, with a preference for Azure.
• Utilize SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in AI/GenAI.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer or in a comparable role.
• Advanced proficiency in Python programming.
• Deep understanding of ML fundamentals, encompassing deep learning, optimization techniques, generative AI, NLP, and LLMs.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud computing platforms; familiarity with Azure is advantageous.
• Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity for effective collaboration.
• Aptitude to excel in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
