Job Summary

Deltek is searching for a highly skilled Senior Java Software Engineer to join our global development team in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust web-enabled applications and data-driven solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams located in the US, Philippines, and India, working on mission-critical systems that demand a deep understanding of application logic and database architecture. Support for customer issues during US East Time hours is also a key requirement. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web-enabled applications utilizing Java, J2EE, and associated technologies.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across diverse geographic locations to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products and updates.
• Craft complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and implement database performance optimizations.
• Actively participate in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues that span both application and database layers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience using Java, J2EE, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL.
• In-depth knowledge and proficiency in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
• Demonstrated experience in developing SQL, SQL Functions, and Stored Procedures.
• Familiarity with PL/SQL or Transact-SQL.
• A demonstrated ability to quickly learn new products and technologies.
• Experience participating in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills essential for effective collaboration with distributed teams.
• Ability to work seamlessly with international teams across various time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational background or professional experience in Accounting and Budgeting.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
• Prior experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, SSRS, Jasper, or IBM Cognos.
• Experience in database performance tuning, including indexing strategies and execution plan analysis.
