Senior Java Full Stack Engineer

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Full participation in the agile development lifecycle, including requirements analysis and design.
• Contributing to testing platforms and development verifications.
• Supporting, maintaining, and documenting software functionality.
• Performing thorough code reviews.
• Designing with scalability, reusability, maintainability, and performance as key factors.
• Scoping, coding, and designing systems and components.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale web application software development.
• Professional experience developing distributed, database-driven web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and other Spring technologies.
• Proficiency in building production-grade web applications with frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, or Material UI.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, and their associated tooling ecosystem (NPM, Yarn, Babel, Jest, Enzyme, Cypress), including an understanding of their limitations and trade-offs.
• Fluency in efficiently utilizing REST/GraphQL APIs and influencing API design when necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in debugging code written by other engineers.
• Strong analytical skills applicable to day-to-day tasks.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and seek clarification when needed.
• Professional experience working within a Scrum development environment.
• Solid understanding of computer architecture, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented software techniques.
• Ability to articulate and justify the application of software design patterns.
• Capacity to partner with product management to develop and refine requirements.
• Deep understanding of the trade-offs between static generation, server-side rendering, and client-side rendering.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, including a solid grasp of data structures, caching strategies, and asynchronous programming (promises, futures, callbacks).

Bonus Points:

• Working (basic) knowledge of Ruby and Ruby on Rails version 2.x.
• Experience in US healthcare IT, particularly with healthcare terminology and technical standards like CCDA, FHIR, etc.
