Senior Java Backend Developer - Bengaluru
Altraize is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic development team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This role requires strong expertise in Java/JEE with the Spring framework and Python, focusing on building robust, scalable web applications using microservices architecture and modern frontend frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate within an agile Scrum environment, actively participating in requirement analysis, clarification, acceptance criteria definition, estimation, and commitment.
- Design and develop high-quality, secure, and defect-free code that meets functional and non-functional requirements, adhering to modern engineering practices and minimizing technical debt.
- Foster team performance through diligent code reviews and collaborative support for peers.
- Implement DevOps practices, including automated builds, unit/functional tests, static/dynamic scans, and regression tests, to enhance application development agility.
- Provide exceptional customer support by troubleshooting and resolving production incidents, focusing on root cause elimination.
- Develop innovative solutions to mitigate operational risks through automation of repetitive tasks across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Develop into a full-stack developer to ensure end-to-end delivery of user stories.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of extensive experience in building web applications using Java, JPA, Hibernate, and the Spring framework (Java 8+).
- Solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) fundamentals with practical application of design principles like SOLID and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot 3.4+, including deep knowledge of REST APIs, Microservices, and Caching solutions.
- Proficiency in Oracle databases and writing complex SQL queries.
- Experience collaborating with DevOps teams for application deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Familiarity with unit test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git/GitHub.
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools, including the ELK Stack.
- Exposure to modern AI-based development tools like Co-pilot.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
