Senior IT Technologist

Medtronic is seeking a Senior IT Technologist - MLOps Engineer in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This role is pivotal in the deployment, monitoring, and optimization of machine learning models, ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable ML solutions that align with business needs and IT strategy. The Senior ML Ops Engineer will collaborate with data scientists, IT technologists, stakeholders, and vendors throughout the entire ML lifecycle. As an individual contributor, you will deploy and manage ML models, automate workflows, and ensure robust model performance, with a strong emphasis on CI/CD for ML models and adherence to policies supporting health management and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include operationalizing ML models and algorithms, designing and maintaining scalable MLOps infrastructure and pipelines, implementing CI/CD for ML models, and automating model training, testing, and deployment. You will also develop monitoring and alerting systems for production models, ensure security and compliance of MLOps infrastructure, troubleshoot deployment and performance issues, and optimize ML workflows. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Minimum Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or MCA, with 8+ years of overall IT experience and 6+ years in ML Ops and data science. Key skills include strong programming in Python, Java, or Scala; experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes); proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI); familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn); understanding of DevOps principles; experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK stack); and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
