Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for our Data Center operations team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. You will be responsible for hands-on datacenter operations including racking and stacking equipment, break-fix replacements, and managing network devices via CLI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic configuration, validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of servers and network infrastructure using the command-line interface (CLI).
• Demonstrate knowledge of datacenter cabinets, PDUs, power distribution, and cooling concepts.
• Master network fundamentals including IP addressing, VLANs, routing, switching, and connectivity protocols.
• Leverage remote management platforms like Grafana and Prometheus for monitoring tools.

Tech Stack & Skills:

You should possess hands-on experience with Juniper (JunOS) or Cisco IOS devices. Proficiency in basic Linux OS system administration is required. You must understand Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts deeply, including the ability to review logs, alarms, interface status, and hardware health remotely.

Operational Excellence:

• Proactively identify and diagnose issues across global Points of Presence (POPs).
• Coordinate with remote Smart Hands teams and Datacenter providers effectively.
• Implement audit functions for spare parts and resources.
• Document all solutions in the DCOps Data Repository and manage JIRA tickets diligently.

Collaboration & Growth:

You will interact with cross-functional teams including Sysops, Netops, PMops, and stakeholders. Regular upgrades to operations workflows are expected. We value a team player who communicates clearly in English and possesses strong analytical problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Two years of direct experience in Datacenter Operations.
• A minimum of one year logging into network devices for configuration and troubleshooting.
