About the Role

Premier Research is seeking a Senior Infrastructure and Operations Engineer I to join our IT & Corporate Administration team. You will support biotech, medtech, and pharma companies in transforming breakthrough science into new medical innovations.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure infrastructure compliance for global network operations.
• Analyze, design, acquire, and implement projects for server, application, network, or other infrastructure systems.
• Contribute to the development and testing of IT solution architecture.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for server, OS, VM, and storage infrastructure.
• Take initiative in resolving complex issues creatively.
• Maintain current documentation during infrastructure changes.
• Analyze anomalous activity against Premier SOPs and take appropriate action.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts regarding client performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11) and industry practices.
• Schedule meetings to facilitate operational requests between IT and the business.

Requirements

• B.S. degree with 5-8 years of direct experience in distributed compute environments supporting MS Server OS, hardware, storage, firewalls, and network infrastructure.
• 5+ years of significant network-related systems/technology experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Rback, daily Azure operations (maintenance, deployment), Core Azure Data Centre.
• Strong fundamental network engineering skills.
• Experience managing projects within standard project management frameworks.
