Overview: NEXPLAY SECURE is seeking motivated Senior Information Security Analysts to join our Ahmedabad-based team. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts, incidents, and potential threats within a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• Perform initial triage, investigation, and escalation of security events, ensuring timely and accurate threat response.
• Develop and enhance automation scripts, tools, and playbooks, primarily using Python, to improve SOC efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Engage in threat research, analyzing emerging attack vectors, malware, and vulnerabilities to strengthen detection strategies.
• Contribute to security projects, including experimenting with new technologies and conducting proof-of-concept studies.
• Collaborate with senior analysts, threat hunters, and incident response teams on complex investigations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of incidents, findings, and process improvements.
• Continuously upgrade skills through dedicated research and relevant certifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience with SIEM, EDR solutions, and log analysis.
• Solid understanding of networking, operating systems, and core security concepts (TCP/IP, logs, firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS).
• Proficiency in coding/scripting, with a strong preference for Python (PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages are beneficial).
• Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting abilities, especially under pressure.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.

Preferred Skills:

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, or equivalent are advantageous.
• Exposure to malware analysis and threat intelligence.
• Experience in creating custom detection rules or scripts (e.g., YARA, Sigma, Snort).
• Previous internship or hands-on project experience in a SOC, cybersecurity lab, or capture-the-flag (CTF) competitions.

Shift Details:

• 6-day work week with 9-hour shifts.
• Rotational shifts including morning, evening, and night shifts.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as part of the rotation is essential.
