Senior IBM z/TPF Assembler

About the Role

• Tech Stack: TPF Assembler, IBM Z-Series / LPAR / CFC / C++ on z/TPF - ECB & Storage Management

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end architecture of TPF / z/TPF transaction systems.
• Define modernization roadmaps for legacy TPF environments.
• Drive decisions on ECB design, storage pools & TPFDF data management.
• Implement z/TPF: 64-bit, TCP/IP, XML & web services.
• Establish coding standards and architectural best practices.
• Oversee & participate in TPF program development in Assembler & C/C++.
• Lead performance tuning & bottleneck analysis across subsystems.
• Approve HLD/LLD documents, code reviews & test plans.
• Drive migration: TPF → z/TPF, Assembler → C modernization.
• Manage SELCAL, OAG & airline / GDS integration points.

Cross-Functional Duties:

1. Lead cross-functional teams of TPF devs, testers & sys programmers.
2. Mentor and upskill junior and mid-level TPF engineers.
3. Act as primary technical PoC for client stakeholders & business teams.
4. Collaborate with infra, network & security for end-to-end delivery.
5. Participate in architecture reviews, sprints & exec status reporting.
