Responsibilities
- Deliver HR activities specifically for India, considering regional and local contexts.
- Collaborate with Global HRBP Teams to:
- Contribute to talent conversations and processes.
- Provide visibility into talent needs.
- Ensure continuity in career and development plans for high-potential employees.
- Offer insights for a holistic organizational view for Global EHRBPs.
- Oversee local deployment and delivery of corporate/business/functional HR processes, projects, and change initiatives, ensuring policy and procedural compliance.
- Manage Diversity & Inclusion deployment, monitoring, and compliance locally.
- Advise, guide, and coach line managers on their HR responsibilities, management behaviors, and team management.
- Enhance the effectiveness of the HR delivery model, promoting consistency and optimization of HR processes and approaches across locations. This includes:
- Guiding local leaders and line managers to appropriate support.
- Optimizing the use of country or site-level resources.
- Fostering strong partnerships within the HR model for integrated service delivery.
- Ensuring accurate data management for organizational changes and compliance with approval/notification procedures.
- Promote positive employee relations and a constructive working climate by working closely with employee representative groups, line management, and the ER Leader as needed.
- Act as a champion for employee advocacy and engagement, addressing issues and contributing to the broader agenda.
- Provide effective support for employee grievance matters.
- Manage local aspects of projects and broader change programs, including:
- Identifying gaps and improvements in local HR service provision aligned with HR strategy, proposing local initiatives.
- Managing local projects in line with HR Business Operations priorities.
- Interface with Centers of Expertise (Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Talent, Engagement & Development, and DE&I) to ensure a consistent approach to Nielsen’s Employment Value Proposition, Culture, Leadership, and Engagement initiatives across the region.
- Direct and guide line managers and associates to relevant learning solutions, providing input to Global HR Business Partners and the Talent, Engagement & Development COE.
- Ensure all practices uphold the highest integrity and compliance with all regulatory matters.
- Manage crisis situations effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a legal field.
- 5-7 years of Human Resources experience.
- Well-developed customer and relationship management skills, including credibility and influencing abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in challenging situations and to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Capability to foster a positive employee relations climate, advocate for employees, and maintain objectivity under stakeholder pressure.
- Process-driven and methodical approach to implementing programs and HR solutions.
