Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our client's fast-growing FinTech team. This organization operates in the earned wage access space, providing real-time financial flexibility for individuals living paycheck to paycheck.

The Opportunity:

• Innovation Driver: Play a key role in advancing 'Early Bets' initiatives that introduce new products and experiences aimed at empowering users with a comprehensive ecosystem of financial solutions.
• Ambiguity & Leadership: Define technical solutions in ambiguous environments, collaborating closely with Product teams to refine requirements.
• Architecture: Design scalable architectures across the full stack to support rapid product evolution and drive company innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with Product and Design teams to define, build, and enhance user experiences using modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Frontend Ownership: Lead the design and implementation of complex frontend systems using React, TypeScript, and Next.js. Ensure scalability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Backend Leadership: Develop robust backend services and APIs in Python with Django, focusing on reliability, security, and high-scale data modeling.
• Engineering Standards: Establish full-stack engineering standards including tooling, testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end), CI/CD practices, and code review processes.
• Mentorship & Strategy: Mentor engineers across frontend/backend disciplines. Identify technical risks, provide tradeoff analysis, and align architecture with platform capabilities.

Requirements:

• Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience; Minimum 4 years of industry experience with both frontend and backend development required.
• Frontend Stack: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js. Experience with state management (Redux/Zustand/etc.) and performance optimization is essential.
• Backend Stack: Expertise in Python/Django, RESTful API design, database architecture, and server-side rendering experience required.
• Cloud & Ops: Proven track record of designing/operating scalable systems in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders. Experience with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

Compensation & Location

Base Salary Range: $195,000 – $257,000 (plus equity and benefits).
Note: Positions are remote with potential for hybrid work arrangements depending on location.
