Senior Full Stack Engineer

Join Optum as a Senior Full Stack Engineer where your work directly improves health outcomes. You will lead engineering teams in designing scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure services, Kafka, Airflow, and Spark within a Lakehouse architecture.

• Data Architecture & Design:
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT workflows across batch and real-time streams.
• Define robust data modelling standards including dimensional, relational, and NoSQL approaches.
• Architect platforms optimizing for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability on Azure (ADF, Synapse) and Snowflake.
• Technical Leadership:
• Mentor engineers while enforcing CI/CD best practices using Terraform and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation in AI-powered solutions.
• Data Engineering & Optimization:
• Ensure pipeline reliability through automation, root cause analysis, and SLA management.
• Governance & Compliance:
• Implement validation frameworks ensuring adherence to HIPAA/GDPR using metadata tools like Purview.
• Builder Responsibilities:
• Leverage no-code/low-code platforms and advanced AI solutions to enhance products and workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in Data Engineering with SQL, Python, Spark/PySpark.
• 7+ years of Snowflake expertise (modelling, performance tuning, secure sharing).
• 4+ years managing Azure ecosystems and 2+ years in DevOps practices.
