Senior Full Stack Developer

SquareOps is seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our core engineering team in Gurugram, India. This role is central to accelerating feature delivery and enhancing our architectural robustness. As an AI-first organization, we are looking for an engineer who significantly leverages modern AI coding assistants, such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Gemini, to amplify their productivity. Your focus will be on high-level architecture, intricate logic, and rigorous code reviews, while delegating boilerplate code generation to AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accelerate Feature Delivery: Utilize AI-integrated tools like Cursor, Cloud Code, or Copilot as your primary workflow to rapidly prototype, develop, and ship features.
• Full Stack Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services using Python (Django/FastAPI) or Golang, ensuring seamless integration with responsive React frontends.
• Database Management: Architect and optimize our data layer, with a focus on managing MySQL for relational data and MongoDB for unstructured logs and events.
• Production Readiness: Take ownership of the final stages of development, ensuring code is robust, thoroughly tested, and successfully deployed through our CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentorship and Code Quality: As a senior engineer, set the benchmark for code quality and mentor junior team members in adopting and optimizing AI-augmented development workflows.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience.
• AI Tool Proficiency: Proven experience in utilizing AI-integrated IDEs (e.g., Cursor, Cloud Code) to enhance the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). You should view AI as an indispensable pair programmer.
• Backend Expertise: Strong proficiency in either Python or Golang.
• Frontend Expertise: In-depth knowledge of React.js, including state management and modern UI/UX principles.
• Database Mastery: Extensive experience with MySQL (including complex queries and optimization) and MongoDB (including schema design).
• In-Office Collaboration: Must be willing to work from our Gurugram office to foster direct collaboration with the engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications (Major Advantage):

• Cloud and DevOps Experience: Given our focus on building DevOps tools, experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform, is highly desirable.
• AI Code Refactoring: Experience in refactoring legacy codebases using AI agents.
• Startup Experience: Previous work experience in a high-growth startup environment.
