Senior Front End Software Engineer

About the Role

Bitwarden empowers enterprises, developers, and individuals to securely store and share sensitive data. We are looking for a Front-End Engineer to join a team responsible for maintaining and improving our autofill and form detection features in the Bitwarden browser extension.

This is an all-remote position open exclusively to candidates based in North America.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on Bitwarden's browser extension autofill and form change detection.
• Develop and maintain a full suite of browser UI automation tests.
• Continually improve the autofill experience as new web UI patterns emerge across all browsers.
• Participate in code reviews, learning, and spreading technical knowledge within our open-source community.

What You Bring

You will bring a deep understanding of browser UI behavior, DOM manipulation, and content scripts. Proficiency in vanilla JavaScript and modern frameworks (Angular preferred, or React/Vue) is essential. We value excellent problem-solving skills where you know how to find solutions even without all the answers immediately.
