Senior Front End Engineer

Heady seeks a motivated Senior Front End Engineer specializing in ReactJS and TypeScript. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design and programming, translating UI/UX wireframes into functional, visually appealing application code. You will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, bridging the gap between graphical concepts and technical implementation, influencing both the application's aesthetics and its functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement new user-facing features using ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Create and maintain reusable code and libraries for future development.
• Evaluate and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement robust validation for all user input before submission to the back-end.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members and clients in an Agile environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong command of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Familiarity with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms like LESS and SASS.
• Proficiency in client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
• Expertise in building responsive, high-performance user interfaces with modern frameworks such as Tailwind CSS, Material UI (MUI), and Bootstrap.
• Advanced proficiency in Next.js and React Query, with deep knowledge of state management (Redux, Zustand) and automated testing (Jest, Playwright).
• Skilled in asynchronous programming and data fetching using Axios and GraphQL for efficient partial page updates.
• Experience with image authoring tools for basic image adjustments.
• Proven ability to translate Figma and Photoshop designs into high-fidelity, production-ready code.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and effective solutions.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and Git/Mercurial is essential.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, Agile, release-frequent environment.
• Strong background in Shopify development is a significant advantage.
• A Shopify certification would be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of server-side technologies like Python or Node.js is beneficial.
