Senior Engineer

About the Role

This senior software developer position is based in our Magarpatta City, Pune office. You will play a key role in delivering customer-facing applications by leveraging the latest advancements in software development, cloud computing, big data, and IoT technologies from Microsoft and other partners.

As an integral part of a dynamic software development team, you will contribute to a variety of software projects. Your responsibilities will include software design and creation, bug fixing, process improvement, writing unit tests, and creating comprehensive documentation. You will actively participate in all application development activities.

You will manage and take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to processes, distributing tasks within the team, monitoring progress, solving and preventing issues, assisting in defining application architecture, and providing support and coaching to new team members.

Success in this role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks, and a capacity to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using React and other front-end technologies.
• Develop and maintain user-facing features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Collaborate with UX designers and back-end developers to create seamless and visually appealing interfaces.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to enhance interface effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across different browsers and devices.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Integrate front-end UI with back-end services to ensure cohesive performance.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in full-stack development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Overall 7+ years of experience as a UI Developer.
• Overall 4+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• 4+ years of experience in front-end development using React.js and JavaScript.
• Strong Proficiency in React, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with Redux, Context API, or other state management libraries.
• Strong understanding of front-end and back-end development processes.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks like SerenityJS and Playwright with ReactJS.
• Knowledge of build tools like Webpack, Babel, or Vite.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Proven experience with Angular.js, React.js, and Node.js.
• Experience with ReactJS/Next.js or server-side rendering (SSR).
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Solid knowledge of database systems such as REDIS or SQL.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a personal portfolio is a plus.
• Exposure to unit testing frameworks like Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Angular Testing Library, React Testing Library.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and reasoning ability, exhibiting technical innovation and creative solutions.
• Abreast of upcoming software development/engineering tools, trends, and methodologies.
