Senior Engineer

About This Role:

WorldQuant develops systematic financial strategies across global markets. We are looking for a hands-on technologist who sits at the intersection of platform engineering, solution delivery, and quant research enablement in New Delhi, India.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable solutions including APIs, services, tools, and workflow tooling for distributed storage and integration.
• Interface with platform users to understand use cases and improve adoption of available tools.
• Collaborate with researchers and embedded technology teams to translate business needs into practical engineering solutions.
• Research best practices and propose enhancements for the platform roadmap, focusing on large-scale distributed systems and data-intensive architectures.
• Create clear documentation and technical materials to support long-term maintainability.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience in Python, Go, C, or C++ on UNIX/Linux environments.
• Strong expertise in Git/JIRA and production-quality system development (CI/CD, containerization, cloud-native practices).
• Familiarity with quant research workflows, investment technology platforms, and front-office systems.
• Excellent English communication skills for working in a global environment.
