Senior Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineer specializing in Java to join our team in Magarpatta City, Pune. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, adaptable to new technical domains, and a proactive leader. You will be responsible for the efficient execution and accountability of assigned charters that align with our software, web, desktop, and database technology goals. A strong passion for quality and meeting deadlines is essential.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software development by influencing architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance, enterprise-grade applications.
• Understand, evaluate, and propose solutions, architectures, and designs for new and existing systems.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders, engineering, and test teams to deliver high-quality products that address customer needs.
• Propose innovative and competitive technical solutions with significant business impact.
• Provide work estimates and conduct design, implementation, and code reviews.
• Develop and execute plans for incremental and interactive project delivery.
• Ensure adequate test case coverage and investigate/fix bugs in collaboration with the test team.
• Be prepared to code, establish coding standards, and uphold code quality.
• Integrate cybersecurity standards and practices into solution design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience in Java.
• 6+ years of experience working with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Sound knowledge of Algorithms, Design Patterns, and Design Principles.
• Strong understanding of Multithreading concepts and Data Structures.
• Strong proficiency in Java (17+) and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
• Proficiency in Docker, Docker Compose, and container orchestration.
• Experience in debugging issues across the entire stack.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database design.
• Experience with distributed architecture, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills with a focus on technical innovation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, including explaining technical concepts.
• Exposure to cybersecurity practices.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, SNMP.
• Experience in device management and industrial automation systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Services.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge on electrical communication protocols & electrical devices.
