Senior Engineer

Role Summary:We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable enterprise applications. This role requires solid technical expertise across full-stack development (Java/Spring Boot, React JS/Next.js), API-driven architecture, cloud-enabled delivery on AWS with Docker/Kubernetes, automation quality practices, and the ability to contribute to reliable, secure solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Development: Contribute to end-to-end full-stack solution design across frontend and backend systems. Develop high-performance React/Next.js applications with server-side rendering (SSR) for SEO.
  • Mentorship & Code Quality: Review pull requests, mentor engineers on coding standards, scalability, and best practices using AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor to enhance productivity.
  • API Architecture: Design scalable RESTful APIs and microservices. Implement authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT).
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Manage deployments across Dev/QA/UAT environments using Jenkins/GitLab CI pipelines.
Required Skills:
  • Experience: At least 6+ years in engineering.
  • Languages/Frameworks: Java (Spring Boot), React JS, Next.js.
  • Architecture: MVC, MVVM, Microservices, Event-driven architecture.
Digital Transformation & AI Adoption:
  • Ancillary Tools: Hands-on with LLMs (Claude Code, ChatGPT) for code generation and debugging.
  • Best Practices: Responsible use of AI assistants, validating generated code, securing confidential data.
Digital Transformation & Security:
  • Observability: Integrate with App D/Splunk for monitoring.
  • Security: Implement security best practices and high availability strategies.
Cultural Fit:
  • Collaboration: Work closely with UX, Product Owners, QA engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into robust tech solutions.
  • Time Zone Alignment: Required availability for overlapping shifts with US East Coast teams.
Digital Transformation & Compliance:
  • Insurance Domain Knowledge (Plus): Experience in Group Benefits, Billing, Claims. Familiarity with MetLife/Sun Life processes is a plus.
