Senior Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with client-facing teams to grasp solution contexts, contributing to technical requirements analysis.
• Architect and implement technical features, adhering to best practices for the designated technology stack.
• Collaborate with technical architects to validate design choices and implementation strategies.
• Develop production-ready code that is maintainable, testable, and robust, handling edge cases and errors effectively.
• Uphold high-quality deliverables by following architectural guidelines, coding standards, and participating in design and code reviews.
• Create comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure graceful handling of errors, edge cases, and standard operational flows.
• Utilize bug tracking, code review, and version control systems to manage and deliver work efficiently.
• Actively participate in agile methodologies, including scrum ceremonies, and communicate progress, challenges, and dependencies clearly.
• Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies, conducting proof-of-concepts and developing prototype solutions to drive innovation.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of practical, hands-on experience.
• A strong Computer Science foundational understanding is essential.
• Proficiency in distributed computing frameworks, with Spark being a strong preference.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire new technical skills and apply them innovatively to create effective solutions.
• Expertise in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala, coupled with a solid grasp of data structures.
• Experience in developing modules for data management, including data pipelines, orchestration, and ingestion patterns (batch and real-time).
• Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions on distributed computing and cloud service platforms, including but not limited to AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• A good understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and some experience with ETL processes is advantageous.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and data security best practices.
• Experience in cloud platform solution design.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification and a broad understanding of the AWS ecosystem.
• Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Flexibility to travel to global offices for client engagements or internal team collaboration.
