We are seeking a customer-focused, hands-on Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design, implement, and deliver state-of-the-art payment solutions for PayPal's Growth Markets. The ideal candidate will possess experience building software systems across the full software lifecycle, from system design to backend development. Strong business acumen, hands-on technology skills, a positive work ethic, and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role. Join our Growth Markets Engineering Team, responsible for developing and rolling out new products for PayPal's customer base in high-commerce growth regions like Mexico, Brazil, and Japan. As a Full Stack Software Engineer at PayPal, you will be an architect of our global payment platform. You will design, develop, and optimize core systems that power millions of daily transactions, delivering innovative solutions that delight customers and drive business success.
Your responsibilities will include architecting and implementing large-scale Full Stack solutions, mentoring and developing engineering talent, and driving technical excellence and best practices.
What you need to bring:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 5+ years of Full Stack development experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and a modern frontend framework (React, Next, Angular, Vue).
- Experience in building large-scale applications.
- Exposure to SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Good understanding of relational databases, including strong data architecture and SQL/PL-SQL development skills.
- Strong experience with microservices architecture.
- Experience applying software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GraphQL or similar API technologies.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
