Senior Engineer

Qualcomm's Open Source Engineering team in Hyderabad, India, is seeking a Senior Engineer to manage open-source and third-party software within the company. This multidisciplinary team ensures software licensing compliance and IP protection. The role involves developing web services, micro-services, and automation to streamline the open-source review process. You will work with high-level languages to manipulate source code, data, products, and releases for large-scale automated operations. Responsibilities include integrating with engineering tools, performing administration and scripting in a Linux environment, troubleshooting SCM issues, and providing direct user support to compliance and legal teams. You will learn and understand scanning and compliance review workflows to effectively support internal and external teams. Key responsibilities include designing and developing full-stack applications, contributing to automation for compliance process optimization, and interacting with end-users to gather requirements and resolve issues.

Required Skills: Expertise in Python & Django frameworks, Celery, PL/SQL (PostgreSQL experience is a plus), RabbitMQ. Experience with GitHub REST APIs, React JS, CSS, Docker, Dockerfile, Git/Perforce, and shell scripting in a UNIX/Linux environment are considered a plus. Excellent communication, self-motivation, analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills are essential.

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience, OR a PhD. Must have 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.

Qualification: BE or B-Tech in Computer Science or related streams with 2-5 years of relevant experience. A thorough understanding of the software development life cycle and web service, application, and micro-service architectures is required.
