Senior engineer

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Connectivity/Ethernet to join their Engineering Group. This role is focused on Software Engineering, with responsibilities spanning Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon SOC baremetal/firmware solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong C, C++, and Python programming skills, with a technical background in Wifi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet. Familiarity with reading hardware specifications and schematics, along with proficiency in using standard lab equipment like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and protocol analyzers, is essential. Expertise in interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, I3C, USB, and PCIe is required. A good understanding of hardware blocks like Ethernet and Switch, their software architecture, and TCP/IP for porting and debugging is crucial. The role demands strong debugging skills at the hardware-software boundary using JTAG, serial consoles, and vendor tools, as well as experience bringing up new software on new hardware platforms and chips. Prior experience with Qualcomm MSM software platforms, ARM-based systems, and contributions to the open-source community are considered significant advantages. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 2 years of Software Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 1 year of experience, or a PhD. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python is expected.
